Giving Back, Close to Home

This year, giving back wasn’t abstract for us—it was personal. Techapalooza’s mission and the work of the Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation hit close to home, reflecting the people, families, and community that have shaped Evergold from the beginning. Supporting a cause rooted here felt like the right place to invest our energy and our gratitude.

Our sponsorship started as a way to contribute, but it quickly became something more. Rather than making a single donation, we chose to extend our support in a way that recognizes the community itself—the leaders, mentors, and quiet contributors who give their time and talent to lift Winnipeg’s IT ecosystem.

That idea became the Techapalooza Evergold Medal for Community Impact. This award is about celebrating generosity, leadership, and service—the qualities that don’t always show up on a résumé, but define a strong, resilient community. It’s our way of turning sponsorship into shared recognition.
