Workshop Success with WRHA
Workshop connects AI to the Organization & Staff Development team.

Erik and Ben recently delivered a hands-on AI and prompt engineering workshop for the Winnipeg Regional Health Administration’s Organization & Staff Development team, with a sharp focus on practical application—not theory. This wasn’t an abstract overview of artificial intelligence. It was a working session designed to help OD professionals see exactly how AI can support facilitation, planning, analysis, and day-to-day organizational work without adding complexity or risk.
From the start, Erik and Ben grounded AI in reality. They explained how generative AI works under the hood, where it excels, and where human judgment must stay firmly in control. From there, the session quickly moved into prompt engineering, showing how clear intent, constraints, and iteration dramatically improve results. Participants didn’t just watch—they tested prompts, refined them, and immediately applied what they learned to OD-relevant tasks like drafting materials, synthesizing input, and exploring new ways to structure thinking.
“They explained the information in a way we could understand and tailored the application of AI to our specific work.”
What set this workshop apart was how intentionally it connected AI to the Organization & Staff Development team’s real-world context. Erik and Ben took time to understand the team’s responsibilities and used examples that mirrored actual scenarios—facilitating conversations, supporting teams through change, and making sense of complex inputs. The result was clarity, not overwhelm, and a shared understanding of how AI can be used thoughtfully rather than everyone experimenting in isolation.
“Everyone on my team got something out of it that will make their work easier or more exciting.”
The session also created space to talk openly about limitations and risks. Instead of avoiding hard questions, Erik and Ben addressed them directly, helping participants build confidence in when to use AI—and when not to. Their approachable style and strong facilitation kept the room engaged, even during more technical moments, and ensured both in-person and remote participants were fully included.
“Your ability to create a comfortable learning environment, simplify complex concepts, and share so generously made the session both informative and genuinely enjoyable.”
By the end of the afternoon, the Organization & Staff Development team walked away with more than new tools—they left with alignment, shared language, and momentum. The workshop sparked meaningful conversations about intentional use, consistency, and opportunity, positioning the team to integrate AI into their work in a way that supports people, purpose, and impact. For organizations ready to move from curiosity to capability, Erik and Ben delivered a workshop that truly met the moment.
